Video about developing countries
Today in class, we watched a video on how countries developed over a 200 year time period. Countries began this time period in 1810 where the average income for good countries was around 4,000. Also, the life expectancy wasn't over 40 for a single country. This isn't necessarily that people were dying at 40. Actually many people lived to be 80 but there was so a high infant mortality rate that the life expectancy dropped. Over time both the income and life expectancy raised for all countries and particularly Europe had a huge increase. Also during big wars you could see how much the life expectancy dropped. Now many countries have life expectancies of 80. Sadly though Africa still has very low expectancy because it is not very advanced and is poor.
