Normal Class again

So today in class it started off very strange. Mr Schick showed us a picture of him from 30 years ago and it looked like Bob Ross to be honest. Then he started to rap about Rome and that was pretty funny. Then we learned about Rome and a few things are that are cool like how romulus won a battle and thats why it is called Rome. Rome seems like an exciting place because it is more recent than greece and it is such a beautiful place now and t would be nice to know how it got that way.

Surgery

We got our tests back and I don't want to talk about mine so lets move on from that but the big news today was that Mr. Schick is getting surgery on Thursday on an umbilical hermia which is really strange and thats the thing on your bellybutton so thats very strange. Sorry, Mr. Schick. Also, he'll miss two weeks which means we will have a lot of subs and bookwork and I don't do so well with bookwork so this won't be great for me.

Test Day

So today was not very good. I was not prepared for the test at all. I was not getting a lot of the questions right and didn't even know one of the essay questions. I feel so bad and I'm struggling to keep good grades in this class this semester. But life goes on and I'm glad it's finally spring break. We're on the last stretch of the year with less than 30 days left of school. I'm excited for what we are going to do at the end of the year. Next time we have class I'm not sure what we are doing but thats a long time away.

Review and Movie

Today in Western Civ we reviewed the homework from last night and I did not have my paper because it was at my house so I couldn't really talk about the paper even though I did do it. Then we watched a movie about prisoners in a cave and they were looking at shadows and telling what they saw. Then when they were released into the outside world, they didn't know what was going on ad how shadows were real and not real. It was very strange because you can't really imagine doing something like that because we already know what things are. But then Mr. Schick compared it to TV. This makes sense to me because my dog barks at the TV and I think she believes it is real things so maybe thats what the prisoners are thinking while they are in there.

Western Civ study guide

Today in western civ we were studying for the test on friday on sections 3, 4, and 5. The test on Friday is important because I got a C last quarter and I can not do that again. So today in class, I read over the sections again just to remember what happened. Then Mr. Schick handed out a study guide so I quickly did that with about 15 minutes left of class so I listened to music and relaxed. It was a pretty good class today. I have no idea what we will be doing Wednesday and Thursday before the test though.

We presented

So today in western civ we got to present our project on Ancient Greece. All went well, we knew what to say. The video went well and some people laughed at it so that was the goal. Im glad we finally got to present beause to be honest I hate speaking in front of people. It scares me to do that. I don't know why because I talk in class all the time but just standing up there scares me a lot. Anyway, patricks group also went as well as Anthonys group so it was all good today.
